Dennings has dated the "2 Broke Girls" co-star, Nick Zano, from between 2011 and 2014. Following their split Dennings started dating singer Josh Groban. The two stayed together until 2016. Dennings and Andrew W.K. met in the early part of 2021. In May 2021 they declared that their romance had begun. Dennings had been a big lover of the musician from 2014 onwards. Dennings admits that while she was Jewish and was raised to become an active member in the Jewish community at a personal as well as a religious level, it doesn't play a significant aspect of her daily life. There are a myriad of activities, which include reading, painting and gardening. When she was a child her initial intention to go to the art institute was thwarted when a flood destroyed all of her artwork. The flood was her sign to start acting.
